CLIMIFY launches a new feature on their app as part of ELEXIA

Could we create a sustainable society, without involving people? We don’t think so.

A successful sustainability strategy cannot prescind from people. That is why we believe in the Human-in-the-Loop paradigm: putting back in the center human beings helps us avoiding future complaints related to technology, and push innovation that benefits the end users.

In buildings, our business domain, end users are both the occupants using indoor spaces, and the facility managers, operating those spaces.

Within ELEXIA, we recently focused on new features for our feedback app “FeedMe”:

we now support the direct messaging from our central system CLIMIFY to the occupants in specific rooms.

This new feature impacts both facility managers and occupants:

  • Facility managers can set thresholds and rules to notify occupants about actions or simple information;

  • Occupants of specific rooms can receive push notifications.

If, for instance, the CO2 levels in a certain room become too high, the system can notify occupants about this issue, and advise them on how to correctly ventilate the space. Moreover, once the CO2 levels are again within the boundaries, occupants can be notified and reminded about closing window(s).

Our Technology uses Bluetooth to locate users in the building, and is hence able to identify which occupant should receive the message. Within the latest months, our focus has been principally directed on the back-end developments of our software.
